GIBA – Regional and Deputy Regional Coordinator Elections held across the Country

Regional and Deputy Regional Coordinator Elections held across the Country

The Executive Council of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA) between February and March 2022 met members of GIBA across the country to hold discussions and elect Regional and Deputy Regional Coordinators in all 16 regions of Ghana to help steer the affairs of the Association in line with the GIBA Constitution.

Nominations had been opened for the positions of Regional and Deputy Regional Coordinators together with the notices sent out for the meetings to Members. Nominations were subsequently submitted and elections held at the various locations selected for the exercise. Elected Regional and Deputy Regional Coordinators pledged working together with the Executive Council for the growth and development of the Association.

Members across the country were sensitized by the President, Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, and the Executive Council about the responsibilities of their various organisations to regulatory and statutory bodies. They were also encouraged to value the important role the Executive Council and the GIBA Secretariat were playing and to cooperate with them while living up to their responsibilities towards the Association to enable them to be effective in serving their interests.
